Job brief:
We are looking for successful Video Editor, who can be a creative storyteller, listener, and problem solver all in one. The ideal Video Editor need to brainstorm and create a storyboard with video concepts and assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches our organisation’s vision and mission as suitable for broadcasting in to social media platforms. To have a great eye for quality and attention to details, which is imperative when it comes to edit videos. Ultimately a Video Editor, should be able to bring combination of all elements in order and produce a finished quality video in order to tell a cohesive story.

Job description:
Manage and Create and Edit videos from start to finish like social teasers, Input music, graphics and effects to existing videos. To brainstorm with reporting officer and team and create storyboard with video concepts and optimize YouTube videos with catchy thumbnail, titles, proper tags, cover photos, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends with new features to optimize our channels.
  • Produce creative short videos based on organisation vision and mission.
  • Create social teasers, input music, graphics and effects based on content calendar sequence and priority.
  • Should display creativity in converting ideas into videos in a quick time.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in style and quality.
  • Edit video clips into processed premium quality videos.
  • Optimize YouTube videos with catchy titles, proper tags, cover photos for search and user experience etc.
  • Manage each project from start to finish in advance
  • To handle parent organisation content and multiple sister concern organisations videos.
  • Candidate Requirements:

    Prior Experience:

  • Social media posts and stories using Canva and Photoshop
  • Prior experience working as a freelance video editor, or casual video editing experience.
  • Should have experience producing content for YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram.
  • Required Skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Video Editor and strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency and Solid experience with digital technology and editing skills on (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Final Cut) Familiarity with special effects.
  • Should have Creative mind and storytelling skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of timing, sound and music.
  • General understanding of digital equipment’s technology
  • Knowledge of new tech developments.
  • Ability to take and follow direction and also have a creative eye for improvements
  • A good team player and can-do attitude

    Basix Municipal Waste Ventures (BMWV) was incorporated in March 2012 after the culmination of five years of action research work in Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir states of India in establishing an effective mechanism to collect household wastage at the doorstep and feed to the value chain of solid waste processing through working with multiple stake holders –households, rag-pickers, urban local bodies. The action research was carried out by Indian Grameen Services, a not-for-profit affiliate of Basix Social Enterprise Group.
